THE POST APOCALYPTIC: “9” AND ITS ESOTERIC INSPIRATION! THE AEON OF HORUS.

This post focuses on the occultic content in pop-culture, specifically movies and certain comic books. The Tim Burton produced 9, will be disected here, for its propensity, towards the occult and its many esoteric and exoteric references throughout the film.

This was written several years ago but is still relevant today.

The Tim Burton produced post-apocalyptic movie 9, is significant esoterically and exoterically in a myriad of ways. The movie is fully occultic and has layers of hidden meanings throughout; I will unravel some of them here, as they are manifold and labyrinthine. The most obvious esoteric symbol is the light bulb on the stick in the hand of the lead character 9; it, of course, references Prometheus the Hellenic Lucifer, who brought light to the unenlightened progenitors of the human race. The painting at right speaks for itself, with the human figure shrouded in darkness, eyes closed, seated, denoting the fallen, debased, ignorant estate of humanity and Prometheus, with his torch held aloft, providing the light of “illumination”.

The movie’s release date 9-9-09, is very significant nine turned upside down is six three nines turned upside down becomes 666, which represents the savior of the value systems discussed throughout this book, the bible calls him the anti-Christ. I will quote Manly P Hall here to establish the mindset of those who believe that man is divine and will, therefore, produce messiahs of their own who will solve the world’s problems: “The criers of the Mysteries speak again, bidding all men welcome to the House of Light. The great institution of materiality has failed. The false civilization built by man has turned, and like the monster of Frankenstein, is destroying its creator. Religion wanders aimlessly in the maze of theological speculation. Science batters itself impotently against the barriers of the unknown. Only transcendental philosophy knows the path. Only the illumined reason can carry the understanding part of man upward to the light. Only philosophy can teach man to be born well, to live well, to die well, and in perfect measure be born again.”

Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages.  The movies heroes are Homenculi (animated anthropomorphic beings), Latin for Little Men, an apt description seeing that Luciferiansim purports to have the ability to transform mere mortals “little men”, into gods. Upon finding the “Stele of Revealing” in an Egyptian museum (it was exhibit #666); Crowley wrote the following concerning, the coming New Aeon/The Age of Horus:

“Horus rules the present period of 2,000 years, beginning in 1904. Everywhere his government is taking root. Observe for yourselves the decay of the sense of sin, the growth of innocence and irresponsibility, the strange modifications of the reproductive instinct with a tendency to become bi-sexual or epicene, the childlike confidence in progress combined with nightmare fear of catastrophe, against which we are yet half unwilling to take precautions.

Consider the outcrop of dictatorships, only possible when moral growth is in its earliest stages, and the prevalence of infantile cults like Communism, Fascism, Pacifism, Health Crazes, Occultism in nearly all its forms, religions sentimentalized to the point of practical extinction.

Consider the popularity of the cinema, the wireless, the football pools and guessing competitions, all devices for soothing fractious infants, no seed of purpose in them.

Consider sport, the babyish enthusiasms, and rages which it excites, whole nations disturbed by disputes between boys.

Consider war, the atrocities which occur daily and leave us unmoved and hardly worried.

We are children!”

 Aleister Crowley: Book of the Law on the New Aeon / Age of Horus. Aleister Crowley in the above perfectly described the condition of the present world system. Today Crowley is being hailed as a visionary for his accuracy in summing up the abysmal state of world affairs, unfortunately for him and those who prescribe to his beliefs, he offered up Satanism, as the cure for the world's ills, and the bible warns of men who would in the last days, seek answers to their problems, in evil, to their detriment.   

The sixth doll holds up a Talisman that it discovered which saves the lives of the dolls; the Talisman is a series of three 6’s. The significance of the hidden sixes on the poster becomes apparent; the movies savior is indeed represented by the ominous triple six.

Above, the scientist gives life to the inanimate doll, as his soul is divine, the spark from his soul, allows the doll to be, “transformed”, from an inanimate to an animate being. The scientist in the movie is the God of the dolls (man as God). The book above has the pyramid and all Seeing Eye on the cover, its title Annuls of Peracelsus references Paracelsus a well-known occultist of the Renaissance. Eliphas Levi the infamous Jewish Satanist said the following of Paracelsus: “In any matter of Realization and Ritual, Paracelsus is an imposing magical authority. No one has accomplished works greater than his, and for that very reason he conceals the virtue of ceremonies and merely teaches in his occult philosophy the existence of that magnetic agent which is omnipotence of will; he sums also the whole science of characters in two signs, the macrocosmic and microcosmic stars. It was sufficient for the adepts, and it was important not to initiate the vulgar. Paracelsus therefore did not teach the Ritual, but he practised, and his practice was a sequence of miracles.”

- Eliphas Levi, Rituel de la Haute Magie. Paracelsus’ De natura rerum 1537 mentions the creation of a “little man” or Homenculi. The movies reference of his book and the subtle though slightly distorted spelling of his name on the book cover, points to the occult foundations of the movie showing that the elements were placed deliberately in the movie and are not coincidental. 

Below the poster of Lord of the Rings with Gollum or Golem another theme of an transformation, though the Jewish Golem are anthropomorphic beings turned into living beings who are slaves of humans, Gollum in the Lord of the Rings was transformed from a human into the creature that he became as a result of his greed. Gollum served the two main characters for a time in the movie, harking to the slave role of Golem. The witchcraft themes in Lord of the Rings are obvious and needs very little explanation.

Sirius Black the godfather of Harry Potter is given the name Sirius referencing the star. The wizard can also transform himself into a big Black Dog, of course another reference to Sirius the “Dog Star”, Sirius (the star) is also called Canis Major or Big Dog.

Jack Parsons the so-called Rocket Man, playboy, Anti-Christ superstar and Missile Messiah. Parsons was a genius whose discoveries and inventions were instrumental in space travel. Parsons was an initiate in the Ordo Templi Orientis. He engaged in sexual, orgies/ “rituals”, in order to unleash magick. Parsons a high-ranking Satanist was a pop culture icon in his time and adorned many magazine covers the examples above bear witness to that fact.  NASA  the American space agency was heavily influenced by Parson’s and persons of like mind, their influence is obvious on the patches of the Nasa astronauts, on the patches the names of the various missions can be read, the majority of the patches contain satanic names and or imagery. Parsons died about fifty years ago in an unexplained crash, he is still revered by many today, and there is a crater on Mars named after Parson’s by NASA.
