The No Limit Soldiers: Organized crime in the former Netherlands Antilles.
The No Limit Soldiers are a gang that originated in the Koraal Specht neighborhood on the island of Curacao I have written before about the gang, specifically in the post “Who is Responsible for the Murder of Helmin Wiels?”
As regular readers of this Blog know, I post often pertinent to regional developments in the cocaine trafficking industry and its transnational character. I often make linkages between organized criminal activity originating out of Colombia and Mexico, and how it is dramatically changing forever the Caribbean social reality.
The No Limit Gang out of Koraal Specht Curaca is a perfect example of the above. What started as a street gang is now a viable highly organized sophisticated criminal enterprise . With structural alliances, with the Miami-based Haitian organized gang Zoe Pound , Colombian crime syndicates and more recently the Zetas from Mexico, the No Limit Gang is one of so-called “Dutch” Caribbean’s most wealthy , sophisticated and organized criminal syndicates to date. I will detail a very serious case here on the island of Sint Maarten, involving the liquidation of a highly placed shot caller’s female lover here on Sint Maarten. As I have written previously and will continue to write, the hybrid-nature of trans-national crime and it’s increasingly asymmetrical character has unalterably transformed the structure of criminal organizations globally at the top and mid-levels. No Limit is no mere “street gang”, the insistence of the corporate media in referring to it as a street gang, clouds the issue. The very nature of the “work”, that No Limit is involved in, large-scale illicit drug trafficking, arms trafficking, arms sales, prostitution, extortion, contract killings, illegal gambling and money laundering. The characteristics enumerated previously, points to the sophistication of No Limit’s organizational structure; they are attempting to structure themselves as a “mafia’ type organization. The organized structure of No Limit means that it’s executive leadership is a group of “educated”, individuals with a working knowledge of business organization, and they are in fact franchising, branding and corporatizing their machine throughout the former Dutch Antilles and in some major cities in the Netherlands like, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, the Hague et al.
Herein I will like to examine the curious case of Latoya Flanders the now deceased paramour of a No Limit shot caller.
While her family insists that she was no criminal, the fact that her man was a highly placed member of an organized crime syndicate, means at the very least that she was fully aware of his standing within No Limit Soldiers, at worst she was a willing participant in said organization who operated “her company”, Tru to Tru car rental as a front to launder the financial proceeds of the illicit drug traffick that her lover Urvin Wawoe is involved with.
Tru is also a moniker used by the No Limit Soldiers criminal syndicate that originated in Koraal Specht Curacoa, and has now transmogrified into a full-fledged mafia type organization, with an executive. Wawoe is only a shot caller within No Limit. The syndicate is ran on a corporate level. The constant references in the corporate media and on the Blog’s specifically the Dutch media and Blog’s that No Limit is a “street gang”, is a joke.
I will show from evidence in the public domain and from the very active social media sites, of active No Limit members that they are a highly sophisticated, capable and intelligent ran organization, with a thorough modernist approach to doing business.
No mere street gang would be able to directly deal with Colombian cartels, Jamaican crime syndicates and increasingly representatives of Mexican cartels. The aforementioned organizations as a rule do not associate with street gangs. I want to elucidate on the curious case of Latoya Flanders, which is more common than many realized. I came to understand from two men that I was locked up with in Phillipsburg in Police custody. I spent 48 hours in the cell with two men, who were both affiliated with No Limit Soldiers. From them I learnt that Wawoe is not the “boss”, of the organization. I learnt that there are several influential highly placed “shot-callers”, within the syndicate. Urvin Wawoe was described as a “money maker” an “earner” not a killer, his brother was said to be much more dangerous. Within the syndicate from what I gathered it appears that top earners, with good standing have influence within the syndicate.
Now onto Latoya Flanders. As I stated previously Flanders operated a car rental company named Tru to Tru, which is a name that the No Limit Soldiers crime syndicate originating in Koraal Specht Curacoa uses. The following link is the Twitter account of someone calling himself TitoRasz operating TRU media https://twitter.com/TitoRasz_TRU/media.
He describes himself as a No Limit Soldier his location is Curacao. In his music video’s he is clearly identified with person’s actively involved in the criminal syndicate bearing the name No Limit Soldiers/Tru Koraal Specht City. Person’s claiming that Flanders who was involved with a shot caller in the syndicate was no criminal and she was completely oblivious are self-deluded, I however have factual evidence which shows the trans-national trans-continental nature of No Limit Soldiers aka Tru, which bears salient testimony to the dire straits the region is in at present.
No Limit Soldiers have forged ties to some groups on Sint Maarten. The organizational structure of gangs on Sint Maarten is very loose indeed, money being the glue so to speak that gains allegiance. However there are some drug crews affiliated with No Limit here on Sint Maarten, purely on a financial cooperative level.
The following is quoted from SMN.com published on 06 November 2015: “PHILIPSBURG/ FRENCH QUARTER:--- Several residents, and business persons on St. Maarten/St. Martin are in a stated of fear since the execution style murder of 31 year old Latoya Flanders who was murdered Thursday evening at the doorsteps of her French Quarter home.
Persons who knew the young woman said that she was an extremely pleasant person, but also stated that she was involved with a young man they identified as “Urvin "Nuto" Wawoe” who is currently in prison in the Netherlands. Those that know the slain woman’s boyfriend said he is part of No Limit Soldiers (NLS) a well-known gang in Curacao while those gang members are at war with other gang members from Buena Vista Club (BVC). The NLS is very active in The Netherlands, Curacao and St. Maarten with alleged drug trafficking and serves as hit men. Information SMN News receives states both these gangs operate internationally and information regarding their operations can be found online. Those that know Latoya’s boyfriend said that the gang members are hell bent on getting persons that were close to him, they said already they got to Shafien Mauricia who was killed by Teke Teke Snack bar in Cay Hill.
It is said Mauricai was also a member of NLS while Latoya was dating Nuto another NLS gang member. Based on the information SMN News received from persons within the community that know some of the gang members said the spate of killing started after NLS leader ordered the execution of two men at Curacao's Airport. While "Urvin Nato Wawoe" was caught with a large amount of illegal drugs that landed him in prison on St. Maarten and a huge prison fight led authorities to send him to a prison in the Netherlands for his own safety, the other gang members are hell bent on getting revenge for the assassination of two of their members. SMN News learnt that Mauricia was leading the NLS while Latoya's boyfriend is in prison and he too was killed some weeks ago. Those that are behind the killings ensured they got Urvin Nuto's girlfriend Latoya Thursday night but those that know the NLS members said that the war has just begun and authorities on St. Maarten should brace themselves for what is ahead.
The concerned persons also said that the war has just begun because her boyfriend and her relatives will not sit back and allow the persons that are involved in the execution of Latoya Flanders to get away. They even went as far as appealing to the killer to turn himself in before he is caught by citizens of French Quarter and Sucker Garden.
According to the residents who spoke to SMN News on the condition of anonymity said that the slaying of Latoya Flanders has nothing to do directly with her but instead this is some sort of pay-back for her boyfriend. “What people fail to understand is that the gang members who operates both on Curacao and St. Maarten are desperate and when they cannot get their target they are going after people that are close to the ones they want”. In this case they said that Latoya Flanders was the closest thing to her boyfriend who is in prison in the Netherlands and the only way to hurt him was to take out the person he loved.
The same residents and concerned persons are calling on police/gendarmes to step up to the plate because they believe that this is just the beginning of a gang war. They called on families to be careful and young men and women to be aware of whom they are frequenting because no one could guarantee their safety even when they are in their homes”.
Above a photo taken with a cell phone and posted to FaceBook by Latoya Flanders. Boss Lady can clearly be seen on the medallion on her chain TRU another handle that the so-called No Limit Soldiers (NLS), use for their crime syndicate in their media and on their clothing and tattoos. The clearly visible tank on her chain marked her in that gang's culture as a "made", member of the syndicate. The Five stars tattooed on her breast branded her as a person who was highly placed within the crime syndicate. Judging from the evidence that the "victim" provided of her lifestyle i.e.deathstyle, I see incontrovertible proof of the young woman in question being a bonafide member of NLS who had made her bones.
Above Latoya Flanders lying in a pool of blood, after being shot at point-blank range in her head.
The above is a salient potent example, of the insanity being wrought on our island by the so-called No Limit Soldiers and their rivals, here on Sint Maarten.
Above the TRU spelling is the same as the spelling on Latoya Flanders’ T-shirt. Unfortunately for those attempting to distance her from No Limit/Tru et al in its capacity as a crime syndicate they will continue to fail abysmally as the social media posts of the group bears salient testimony, to the high regard she enjoyed within the crime syndicate.
Above Latoya Flanders aka “Nuta” and Urvin Nuto Wawoe, a shot-caller within the No Limit Gang aka Tru from Koraal Specht Curacoa.
The following images will bare salient testimony to the sophistication, organization, education, and thorough understanding of modern technology and it’s use, for the purposes of self-promotion and branding, demonstrated by the top-tier within the No Limit crime syndicate. The fantasy being perpetuated by the “corporate” media, that No Limit is a “street gang”, will be shattered herein. No internet attention seeker I come from the St Peters area on Sint Maarten a place known for its share of drug dealing and recently gang-related liquidations and activity and I still reside in St Peters. I have not seen any public support of No Limit within my environment, however, there is in areas such as Dutch Quarter and Mount William Hill a definite affiliation with the organized crime syndicate.
The No Limit logo. NLS in Curacoa's official logo of course an imitation of Master P's logo. The diamonds and gold are real though.
Five diamond infested chains with medallions belonging to NLS Curacoa.
A “rapper” who reps the gang in various video’s on YouTube.
This gang in its brilliant display of sophistry on a Caribbean scale has emulated what American drug syndicates such as BMF and specifically Suge Knight and his Death Row cohorts did in that they are marketing and branding their syndicate as an entertainment brand. The marketing of this syndicate via social media globally as a rap music entertainment label has allowed it to establish linkages with similar gangs in Europe, the Caribbean, and even in the US. Recruitment into gangs can be facilitated online, similarly to how Islamist groups are recruiting fighters with the aid of social media; gangs have been doing so since the advent of platforms like MySpace et al.
Above a Facebook photo. In this photo, Dangelo Damascus left, and Elvis Kuwas right in the photo. The two person’s shown above are the ones held responsible for the murder of Helmin Wiels. Both are being described by the Prosecutors Office on Curacoa as members of the No Limit crime syndicate.
A No Limit Soldiers promotion instead of the aforementioned TRU is used the organization is one and the same. The website shown koraalspechtcity.com is their official site. On their FB page, Latoya Flanders is eulogized by Urvin Wawoe in poetic verse he refers to her as “Nuta” and himself as “Nuto”.
A salient potent example of the financial clout that the executives, within the No Limit criminal syndicate wields is the capture of Shurendy Quant above in Jamaica. In April of 2013, Arthur Hall Senior News Editor of The Gleaner a leading Jamaican publication wrote an article on April 16 2013 wherein it was stated that: “Curacao National Sent Home From Jamaica Awaiting Further Deportation
The Curaçao national who was deported from Jamaica under controversial circumstances last week is now in custody in that country awaiting deportation to the Netherlands to answer several charges.
The 30-year-old Shurandy Quant, otherwise called 'Tyson' and 'Padmore', was taken into custody immediately on arrival in Curaçao last Thursday.
"He is wanted in Holland to answer charges so the authorities there asked Jamaica to arrest him, and they deported him back to the country from which he arrived, so they sent him here," said Norman Serphos, public relations officer for the Public Prosecutor in Curaçao.
"He is being held here while we await the green light from Jamaica, where the matter is to be settled," added Sophos.
The matter that has to be settled relates to efforts by lawyers representing Quant to prevent his deportation.
Attorneys-at-law Carolyn Reid-Cameron and Chukwuemeka Cameron have argued that Quant was deported despite a Supreme Court order that he should be allowed to stay in the island until the case was settled.
Due process not followed
They contended that due process and the rule of law were not followed.
But the police are claiming that while they were aware of an application in the Supreme Court, they received no instruction that impacted the deportation order signed by National Security Minister Peter Bunting.
The lawyers have indicated that they have been instructed to initiate contempt of court charges against Bunting.
Quant is described as a very violent, wealthy, and sophisticated world drug trafficker who fled to Montego Bay, St James, to avoid capture.
According to international law-enforcement agencies, members of his organization are tattooed 'NLS - No Limit Soldier' on their hands and 'TRU - The Real Underworld' on their chest or head.
They also wear chains with the associated insignia NLS/TRU.
It is feared that Quant would use his considerable wealth earned through the illegal drug trade to corrupt the local police.
"I know that he is wanted for trial in connection with a drug case, but there are others," Serphos told The Gleaner.
Quant subsequently won the case enumerated above. Now the question in my mind is which, street gang has the financial wherewithal and the obvious legal representation that Shurendy Quant and his No Limit crime syndicate has available to them? certainly not in the case of Afro-Caribbean males in the impoverished Caribbean context. Shurendy Quant is unequivocally one of the executives of a well-oiled, sophisticated, money-generating enterprise.
A video from one of their numerous social media accounts as I have indicated already, the syndicate is marketed online as a record production company.

Maffia Music another imprint of NLS Curacao.
Above Jais Juliana the man who was killed by members of No Limit Soldiers NLS Curacao. Jais was a shot caller in the Buena Vista City gang (BVC), in Curacao. Jais brother was already liquidated by NLS.
Jais was hunted for months by Elvis Kuwas aka Monster and several other men, as a million guilder bounty equivalent to $500,000 or half a million US dollars was placed on his head by the executives within No Limit Soldiers (NLS), their principal rival.
A policeman was paid 50000 Antillean guilders to report to NLS, that Jais and a second man was at the airport. The NLS hit squad was waiting for the men to exit the arrival hall. As soon a the men exited the hall, the squad opened fire unleashing a hail of bullets, killing Jais and his accomplice and wounding six people in the process. The background to this bloody saga crisscrosses two islands Curacoa, Sint Maarten, and eventually Holland.
The so-called Snowflakes, Benzi cases and the Vesuvius investigation, wherein a dumb newspaper editor with no clue wrote, that Carlos Richardson is a so-called “hitman”, as the Dominican-born Arrindell brothers were supposedly rubbed out by Richardson.
When the streets tell it though the picture suddenly becomes clear. Jais who was involved with some local Sint Maarteners seized several keys of Cocaine that were being warehoused for shipping to Europe by the Arrindell’s.
Incidentally, NLS at that time seemed to be functioning as security to ensure the shipment's safekeeping. Because of many conflicts of interest, and overstepping his authority on several occasions eg the murder by a hired hitman (Omax Bye), of Amador who was contracted to carry out the hit, by Arrindell. The stolen cocaine, insubordination, etc, led to Arrindel and his brother being liquidated. While NLS and BVC were peripherally involved in the case, the actual orders to kill a warehouser for the Colombian narco cartels on Sint Maarten could have come only from one place and that’s the cartel bosses themselves. Arrindell was already instructed to allow Jones to live, his direct negation of such a command was a serious breach, compounded by the fact that he allowed hundreds of kilos of Cocaine to be stolen while under his care, such grievous offenses could not go unpunished, resultantly he was made an example of. The Colombians did a house cleaning using proxies to commit several murders that rocked Sint Maarten and unalterably changed the social fabric of this society. NLS under the guidance and nurturance of their Colombian overlords is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with. As I have shown NLS is no mere street gang, rather they are a chosen prototype of the Colombians in advancing their agenda of complete hegemony within the Caribbean cocaine trade. The only viable alternative that gangs like NLS have is the Mexican cartels that have now begun using Afro-Caribbean crime syndicates to oust the Colombians from their foothold regionally.
There is an army of young black millionaires and wannabe millionaires cropping up in the former Netherlands Antilles, who are displaying similar characteristics of super gangs in the US such as BMF, the Supreme Team and many other’s to brand themselves, recruit new members, amass a following of sympathizers and create clientele for their music and other merchandising with social media as their chief instrument in disseminating their messages. The Caribbean has never before seen such a mass movement, of young highly motivated and in some instances well-educated criminals, bent on getting rich by any means.
These movements and their young followers and proxies have already altered the region. The one pillar economy of tourism will shatter under their brutal onslaught, as was proven in St Thomas and the Bahamas. The near terrorist attack perpetuated by NLS at the Hato in Curacao, was a brazen test of wills, where NLS’ executives were not only liquidating a rival they were testing, the government’s ability on to effectively respond and contain them.
Judging from the poor government response NLS is once again triumphant and will continue to roll forward with their droves of young admirer’s and “soldiers”, waving their banner, wreaking havoc regionally and in Europe, until the government begin to treat terrorist attacks in a manner warranting an appropriate response. Stay tuned for more updates on the most sophisticated, ruthless, and fastest-growing crime syndicate in the former Netherlands Antilles.
